The polling was conducted using our fully automated voice broadcast market research capabilities. This gives us the ability to have audited research results back in our customer's hands in literally hours instead of days or even weeks.
Key findings:
- Support for Campbell Newman in Ashgrove has slumped with the Premier’s primary vote decreasing by 9 percentage points since the March election.
- Labor is marginally ahead in the two party preferred race thanks to an uplift in the primary vote and Green preferences.
- The electorate is split down the middle on a number of key issues - Campbell Newman’s performance rating as Premier, his focus on the State versus local electorate issues and support for reducing the public service.
- 34% of those polled thought that the State’s finances were in an overall poor position with 27.9% saying strong or very strong.
